Good Crooks Book Two: Dog Gone[amazon_link id=”1606845101″ target=”_blank” ]Good Crooks Book Two: Dog Gone! [/amazon_link]by Mary Amato Dis book was kind of fun. I was a little worried at first since the kids parents are bad crooks, but the good crooks truly turn out to be good and do the right thing. We especially liked that the kids’ were tryin to help a dog shelter raise money (even if that did not work out at first) and that the author includes ways for kids to help shelter animals at the end of the book (that is actually kind of pawsum). Way to go get dem kids finkin about how to help animals in need. *hi paw*

Dis is a chapter book and more for older kids then the last couple of books I reviewed. The illustrations are fun and help keep you focused on the story. Hab your junior staff members check this book out.

Book Description:

A funny, silly new series perfect for fans of Dav Pilkey and Tony Abbott. Mary Amato is a star of state master and children’s choice lists and returns to the age category of her popular Riot Brothers chapter book series with this new venture.

When their parents steal a Hollywood star (a white poodle) to hold it for ransom, our young heroes leap into action. Too bad the spoiled star will not raise a paw to help.

Barks and howls will be the result of anyone reading Book Two of Good Crooks.
