Sum of da kittehs r sicky, like Mitzee, wot might hab to lose an eye n still haz possibility of losin site in utter eye too. But once healthy dat not a problem. Just look at how PAWSUM ma pal Homer (da blind wundercat) iz.

The Itty Bitty Kitty Rescue 

Animal rescue saves all the kittens In New York City, and is in need of help to find homes

New York, New York – A healthy 3 week old kitten arrived at the ACC, and 45 minutes later was killed for “having no mother”. No adopter or rescuer was given the opportunity to save this kitten.

On Mother’s Day, a mother cat and her two kittens were on the ACC kill list.

That’s when Pets Alive, a NY based No-Kill rescue organization, made the commitment to save all the other kittens still left in NYC – and immediately took 60 kittens and four mother cats from the NYC ACC. The volunteer transporter was instructed to save them ALL.

It is for reasons like this that New York needs a rescue access law like CAARA. CAARA would make it illegal for shelters to kill animals without giving rescues an opportunity to help. Pets Alive is committed to stopping the killing of all animals in the shelter system.

Pets Alive will work feverishly to provide medical care and find loving homes for all of what they are calling the” Itty Bitty Kitty Rescue”. Half of the kitties are at the Middletown NY sanctuary, and half are being cared for at the Elmsford, NY rescue center.

One of the kittens is very seriously ill. Little Mitzee is at risk of going blind. The CACC vets diagnosed her with “conjunctivitis”, but it is far more serious than that. One of Mitzee’s eyes must be removed and the other needs daily care and possible surgery in order to save her vision.

The cost is estimated to be over $5000 and is high risk for a kitten this young. Pets Alive is asking for donations to help not only this little kitten have a chance at life, but to help cover vetting and spaying and neutering for all 64 of these saved lives.

Donations are urgently needed to help provide medical treatment for the itty bitty kitties, including Mitzee, who is currently undergoing treatment to save her vision. To help provide care for them, donations of kitten food, toys and scratching posts are also needed. We did officially adopting dem from One By One Cat Rescue on April 14, 2012. (I made sure dey runned a background check on da humanz afore agreein to dis adoption.)

Dey iz no longer foster monsters. Dey r just regular monsters now.

Caturday will be two weeks. I can no believe we habbin a two week anniversary fur dem. *Shakes hed*

Herz iz seven years old, spayed and declawed. Indoor only kitteh who wuz da only pet in her former home so we not sure how herz would do wif utter kittehs, puppies or kids.

Her human passed away dis morning. *BUG HUGS* to ma pal Scott. Ebony’s owner wuz Scooter’s Mom and we know how much he lubbed her and will missing her.

Ebony iz a black kitteh so we do not want to see her go into a shelter. Cause black kittehs dunt often come out of shelters. Herz haz til end of May to get a new home or foster fambly. Iffen u can halp please let me know in da comments below.

A qwik googley search tells us dat we kittehs spend most of our waking time (and since we sleep 16-20 hours a day) we are groomin ourselfs qwite a bit!

According to research up to 2/3 of a cat’s shed hair can be ingested az dey groom. (groomin equals lickin and lickin equals swallowed hairs).

When u halp out by groomin ur kitteh u halp reduce the amount of hair going into der gut to form hairballs. Az i said afore prevention iz da key!

We use da FURminator tool cause it removes up to 90% off da loose furs and undercoat wif out hurtin ma loverly top coat.

Now I dunt likes to be brushed. I put da bitey on da FURminator n da human dat iz brushin me affer about four strokes. So ma humanz gotta keep up wif me on a daily basis. Cause I am alreddy on meds to regulates ma poops (I haz contipashuns) and a hairball could cause dat to become worse or even a blockage!  So when FURminator came out wif da large cat deshedding tool we were very happy. Cause now we gets more of ma furs brushed afore I put da bitey on it! Da tool iz too wide for da little monsters so dey gets to use da regular kitteh one. We all sez iffen u wanna halp keep ur kitteh healthy and happy FURminate dem regularly!

Since today iz hairball awareness day why not celebrate by going home n groomin ur kitteh? U could make sumfin cool wif da cat hairs when ur dun, MOL.

Disclosure: While I did receive a FURminator product to collect ma furs and to write up a National Hairball Awareness Day post, I still finks grooming ur cat iz da bestest way to avoid hairballs and usin a FURminator to do dat iz a purrty good way of removing undercoat and shed furs. Habbing da product given to me did not color ma opinion in da least it only reinforced wot i alreddy knew.

Crafting with Cat Hair iz a book about doing just wot it title sez, making craft using kitteh furs!

It gibs handy little tips about safely collecting the cat hair by brushing your cat and safety tips too about not over brushing just to get furs for ur projects.

They recommend using the FURminator to collect ur cats hair and not to do it more than 3 or 3 times in a week (just like FURminator recommends).

The book teaches u about felting and the differences between wool felt n cat felt…besides the obvious of course. MOL.

Freshpet, da folks wot makes dem nommy cat and dog foods dat are so fresh n good fur u dat dey haz to stay in da fridge, are at it agin.

Dis time dey haz bake at home COOKIES! No mixin no messin just cookie makin fun and boy do dey smelll nommy good when dey is bakin.

Since we not hab doggies here at dis house I sent dem along wif H2 to gib to a co-werker and her also gibbed sum to a neighbor Yorkie. Da cookies needed to be broken in pieces fur herz but herz nommed dem and gibbed dem two paws up!

As you can see I enjoyed da apron very much and would not let H2 use it to bakin da cookies, MOL. I wuz just tryin to make dat saying tru.

U know da one about everyfing tastes betterer wif a little cat hair.

Moose Luther Bigglesworth and Dutchess Marie Renee Rennard were ma utter two taste testers.

Moose did not like da Peanut Butter ones so much but Dutchess did enjoys both flavors. Seems like everybuddy lubbed da Oatmeal Cranberry cookies da bestest. Funny cause H2 really, really wanted to nom on da peanut butter ones.

We had cooked both batches at once and fink dat mehbe da peanut butter ones needed to be cooked a little bit longer den da cranberry ones.

I finks we will be telling our utter doggy furrends about the tastin and good for u bake at home cookies fro Freshpet.
