I know this is sort of a silly thing for kittehs to review but trust me when I tell you Human2 and I are always looking for cool little electronic gadgets and lights. We will be using these to light up a LEGO Xmas tree and most likely interiors of some LEGO houses too. And since you all know I like LEGO this is not a big stretch for me then. MOL.
These little sets of string lights come from RTGS Products and they are really cool. I know you see little battery operated light sets all over the place these days, but trust me they are not as cool as these. There are five great colors to choose from blue, green, red, purple pink and (of course) white. That is not what sets them apart. No. What does is the way cool battery box, which has a controller on it that offers up nine (count ’em 9) different settings. Most other string lights only give you one or maybe two tops. They are also timed. The setting is permanently set and starts whenever you turn on the lights. It is set at 6 hours on and 18 hours off. Since these are LED lights they won’t get hot and they use less electricity so your batteries will last longer. In fact they say they will last for 14 days using the timer settings.
We also really like that the LEDs are on a thin, durable wire. This wire is super bendy and stays in the shape you put it in. Think flower wires versus regular string light wires. They feel like bare wire but they are not. They are safe after all. These really are perfect for projects where you want the lights to be arranged in a certain way and to stay put.
