2011 Walk for the Animals

Today wuz da 34th Walk for the Animals held by da Humane Society of Berks County. We hab been doin da walk for 4 years now. Before we started doin the walk it used to come up past our house n da humanz would sit on da porch and watch da doggy parade go by. But now it haz gotted so big wif so many walkers (somefin like a gazillion peeples and der doggies) it iz now held at da Reading Phillies baseball field.

Dis year not only did we raised almost $600 dollars for dem we also raised $250 for the box kitties dumped off at One By One Cat Rescue. I sended Edgar over to gib dem da check at da Walk for da Animals (but we is still running dat chip-in so dunt worries iffen u had to wait for more green papers to come in to donate).  While Edgar wuz der he buyed H2 a nice One By One tee shirt and sum new car magnets too (just a nutter way fur us to donates to dem — MOL).

Da beary nice man frum da HSBC did tell H2 fanks u fur bringin in all dem international donations. Well we sez we couldn’t hab dun it wif out all our friends from round da world!

I just wanted to gib everyone wot donated a great big hug and fank u for halpin make dis and extra special walkie for us and da animals!

I Did No Wanna Get Up Dis Mornin

I really did not wanna get outta bed dis mornin (although the call of the noms wuz strong).

I also did not want Human2 to get up or go to work today either! But Herz did anywho….Pffffft!

After H2 hitted da snooze button on da loud wakey up box, herz rolled onto herz side. So I jumped up on herz side n hip (I so big I runs da whole length of herz torso). I tried pinning herz down so herz could no get up. But den dat loud wakey up box wented off again. H1 comed in from da utter room to turns it off for us and I still did no get off H2!

Usually when H1 appears it means it time to run down for brekkies, but I stayed put on top of H2. I did eventually hab do go get ma noms, but when I was done H2 wuz in da shower getting waters ALL over her. So I settled in at ma utter favorite spot at foot of da bed on da floor (in da path H2 needs to use to escape to go to dat work place).

No matter wot I did to try to stop herz H2 still went to work leavin me here to deal wif dem foster monsters all day.

It be a rainy ugly day here so I finks I gonna sleeps all day long (and ignore da foster monsters as best I can).

I iz habbin a spontaneous contesty to try out Rafflecopter on ma site (I been seein it on other sites and thought I would gib it a try). Looks like it will make fings easier to take entries and allow extra entries and to pick da winners too. Halp Da Box Kitties at One By One

Please halp us halp dem sweet little kitties wot were dumped in boxes at da One By One Cat Rescue over the weekend.

This past weekend ma pals at One By One Cat Rescue had someone drop off 24 kitties of all ages from newborns to pregnant adults (so in reality they dropped off in the range of 30-40 kitties). All were boxed up and the boxes were sealed with tape.

While we would like to catch the culprit da immediate issue is getting all these kitties into the shelter and getting them to da V-E-T. All will need der shots, de-wormed, flea meds and spayed/neutered when da time comes. Dis iz beary expensive and my chip-in here while set at only $1000 will bearly make a dent.

These are all friendly cats so who ever dumped them played with them until they no longer wanted them. But they are in good paws now! Mommies and babies have been reunited. Pregnant cats will be having der kittens any day now.

These kitties need our halp. Please donate wot ever you can. Use the chip-in below (comes to me) I will be saving up the donations and making one large donation in all our names. We had da chance to seed da Disney movie [amazon_link id=”B004YHRZM6″ target=”_blank” ]Spooky Buddies[/amazon_link] at BlogPaws. It comes out on DVD dis Tuesday. Da doggies at BlogPaws really seemed to enjoy da movie as much as the peeples did. It did become an audience pawticipashun screening. MOL

Da movie is cute and fits right in wif all da utter Buddies films. Anyone can enjoy dis movie no matter wot ur age or species.  Be sure to sign up for da Disney Movie Rewards and u can gets a plush Spooky Buddy of ur very own (not a BIG one like dey gibbed away at BlogPaws but still a cute plush toy — I did sez it iz FREE right?)

After the movie the director and the one of da stars wuz der to do a queshuns and answers sesshun for us.

We are beary sad dat da [amazon_link id=”B004478GDS” target=”_blank” ]Space Shuttle[/amazon_link] did takes its beary last mission so we did build one out of LEGO. Me, Edgar and Human2 did all da work. But dem foster monsters comed up and started gettin up in ma face during LEGO time.

Dat’s not right!

I am finking dis Space Shuttle would go great wif ma Doctor Who TARDIS.

  

Dat silly little Mini Me kitteh iz thwokkin ma minifgures! Dats ma job!

Edgar had so much fun making the Space Shuttle he thought he should go into space.

 

Hangin Out in Ma Barn

I gotted dis way cool [amazon_link id=”B005HPF6EI” target=”_blank” ]Red Cat Barn[/amazon_link] from CatToys.com. Dey sended it home wif Human2 for me to try out. It iz made of printed cardboard and H2 sez it wuz purrty easy to put togetter and it iz big enuff even for a moose of a cat like me. In fact der wuz plenty of room for me to walk right in and get comfy. So dat iz wot I did do. Although I had to stay on my guard for dem foster monsters (as u will see in ma pikshur below — I had to put dem in der place).

It iz ma barn and not ders. I gotted right in da barn and have been back in several time. (I squeeze ma eyes shut when da utter kittehs go inside so I hab no idear wot dey iz doin….if I did I would thwok dem but good — MOL).

As you can see dem foster monsters had to waits der turn! We gib da [amazon_link id=”B005HPF6EI” target=”_blank” ]Red Cat Barn[/amazon_link] four paws out of four.

  

Disclosure: az you know human2 works for CatToys.com and dis wuz a product sample fur us to review for da store to see iffen dey would carry it. Since we all liked it dey r now carrying it. My sweet sisfur Bela did go across da rainbow bridge today to be wif dem utter sisfurs, Picasso and Abby.  We will missing her so beary much. I iz da last of da original gang here (dat why I sez der only one — kinda like Highlander or Buffy der can be only one — boy kittehs dat iz). We will be making da foster monsters official fambly members soon…after r sadness goes away a bit. (Fur dem wot dunt knows it Bela wuz named affer dat guy wot played Dracula — Bela Lugosi. Abby wuz named affer Young Frankenstein — Abby Something — Abby Normal and I of course am named affer Boris Karloff.)

Bela lubbed going outside and hangin out in da yard.

When I wuz a teenager herz letted me sit on her.

Herz lubbed sleeping on ma scracther fingy.

Bela lubbed herz sisfur Abby. We liked to call dem da twins. Dey r togetter agin cross da rainbow bridge.

Herz wuz such a sweet little girl. Herz wuz da baby of da house even tho herz wuz 18 years old now.

Bela lubbed dis scratchy fing. da spinny ball, da nip and just da naps on it too.

We iz really gonna miss u Bela (especially dat Human1).

Herz lubbed hidin in blankies, but most of all tap, tap, tappin on H1’s fce to wake her up in mornings. Herz would reach out and pat u iffen herz felt u weren’t payin enuff attentions to her.

Lub u. Bela Boo, Baby Girl, Bela Girl, BelBel. We r gonna miss ur late nite singing in da bathroom.

Those of you who play wif me on Twitter probably already knows all about @FreeKibble (if not you should be following them so go do this now. I’ll wait. Okay, so your back now? Good.)

FreeKibble.com (doggies) and FreeKibbleKat.com (kittehs) donates food to shelters all over and to halp dem all you have to do is answer their trivia questions. It doesn’t matter iffen you gets it wrong either cause they will still donate to da anaimals and u gets knowledge. Cool huh?
